WMAD Ambassadors

For those who have popped in to the Women Making a Difference office on Cathedral Road in Cardiff, you will have experienced the hive of activity in our small room. Our core team of three staff are often invited to an array of interesting events, seminars, and conferences and whilst we try our best to go along to them, if we went to everything there would be little time left to do the important work we are funded for.

One of the greatest benefits of the WMAD programme is the amazing women who participate in our training. Many of these women are achieving great things within their communities across Wales and they also find the time to volunteer for WMAD at our busy points of the year.

As part of our growth strategy, we decided to recruit a number of volunteers who have been trained as 'WMAD Ambassadors'. We are able to call on these volunteers inviting them to attend events on our behalf. These women are gaining valuable experience and networking whilst ensuring that the WMAD message of educating and empowering more women to participate in public and political life is spread as wide as possible.

If you are interested in becoming a WMAD Ambassador please send an email or letter to us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and let us know why you think you would be suitable for the role.

* Please note that reasonable travel expenses for volunteers are covered.
