Construction Sector Panel - Appointment of Members

The purpose of the Construction Sector Panel is to provide advice on economic development of the sector from an industrial perspective.  The tenure of the second Construction Sector Panel has now come to an end, so the Welsh Government wishes to appoint a new Panel to continue its work.

The Welsh Government is seeking to appoint a new Construction Sector Panel, consisting of up to six independent members. Meetings will be held at 6 weekly intervals, primarily in Cardiff but also at locations across Wales and elsewhere as appropriate.

Equality and Human Rights Commission Wales - Committee Member Vacancies

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) seeks to maintain and strengthen the UK’s history of upholding people’s rights, valuing diversity and challenging intolerance. It also aims to identify and tackle areas where there is still unfair discrimination or where human rights are not being respected. In order to achieve this Parliament has given the Commission the mandate to challenge discrimination and to protect and promote human rights.

The EHRC are seeking a Committee Member to support the Wales Commissioner. The Committee oversees the development and delivery of strategic priorities in Wales, advises Welsh Government, and represents the Commission in Wales through meeting and listening to people across the country.

RSPCA Cardiff & District Branch- Trustee Vacancy

RSPCA Cardiff & District Branch is an independent, self-funded charity which has been in existence for 140 years. Throughout this time they have continued to help local animals in need. The RSPCA also help pet owners on low incomes and in receipt of benefits with vouchers towards the costs of emergency vet bills.

The charity wishes to appoint Trustees on a voluntary unpaid basis to work with and increase the skillset of their existing Trustees. The role will require a commitment of approximately 3 to 4 hours per month to attend meetings and offers the opportunity to get involved with specific pieces of work.

Coleg Elidyr Camphill Communities - Trustee Vacancies

Coleg Elidyr Camphill Communities is a registered charity with two ‘communities’ in the Carmarthen area that provide further education, training and care for learners and residents -  these communities are Coleg Elidyr at Rhandirmwyn and Victoria House in Llangadog.

Coleg Elidyr is a residential Camphill Community College providing further education and training for young people aged 18-25 with learning difficulties and disabilities. Victoria House provides a home for people who have finished college life and are learning the skills they need to expand their choices for the future.

Coleg Elidyr Camphill Communities are looking to recruit additional Trustees with particular experience and skills in finance, education and charity funding. Potential candidates are likely to have had successful careers in business or charity management. They are seeking trustees who take great pride in their work and will continuously aim to improve the service they provide to the charity.

Women Connect First - Board Members

Women Connect First (WCF) was established in March 2001 to empower Black and Minority Ethnic women in Cardiff and South East Wales. By providing a range of free services and training courses, and equipping them with the required skills, they help to access employment.

They are looking for committed and skilled people who can join our Board of Trustees.  They are particularly looking for people with skills and experience in Finance, Fundraising, HR, community development, youth work and women issues.
