Conservation Project Volunteer
Volunteers are required to assist on a conservation project developed in response to the impact of development in the Cross Hands

Working with local people, the project aims to secure appropriate management of a substantial area of this marshy grassland habitat. The Conservation Project Officer is planning surveys on some of the managed sites for larval webs of the butterfly. As well as habitat monitoring and doing some practical work on managed sites involving scrub clearance using hand tools.

Volunteers needed for Summer Heritage Camps
Aged 16-25? Want to do something different, fun and rewarding this summer?
CSV Heritage Camps is an opportunity like no other. You’ll spend a week volunteering to help preserve or restore a famous cathedral, church or historic building and doing your bit to protect our architectural heritage. You’ll get some great experience for your CV, make new friends, have a lot of fun and get the opportunity to make a difference to some of the most spectacular buildings in Britain.
Camps take place every year during July and August at various locations across the UK. Each camp is led by two experienced volunteer team leaders, who are also part of the team. Accommodation, food and equipment is provided.

Action for Children - Support Team
Volunteers age 18+ are needed to assist this charity which exists to support vulnerable children and young people achieve their full potential. The role of the Support Team would involve assisting with fund raising events at busy times of the year, on an as and when basis. Volunteers would be contacted and asked if they had a few hours to spare to help out at either the regional office, or to stewards at events. Time commitment is flexible. Induction and relevant training are provided. Support and supervision are available.

The Samaritans - Phone Line Volunteers
Volunteers 18+ required to join the samaritans team working on a confidential phone line offering emotional support on a wide range of issues. Volunteers must also be able to see alternative points of view regardless of their religious or political beliefs. Minimum commitment is 1 x 3 hour shift per week plus 1 overnight session every six weeks. Anyone interested can attend one of the open evenings which are periodically. Training given.

Breast Cancer Care Cymru - Fundraising Group Leaders
Volunteers age 18+ are needed as Fundraising Group Leaders for this charity which supports people affected by breast cancer. Volunteers will start a Fundraising group, plan and agree activity for the year and be the glue that holds the group together.
The key purpose of the role is to help your local Area Fundraiser meet the fundraising objectives of raising money and awareness within the area. Flexible time commitment. Induction and training provided. Support and supervision given.
